The Abattoirs Branch line is a closed railway line that ran from a junction between Lidcombe and Flemington railway stations north towards the Parramatta River. The service was an industrial train service.

Originally the line served several industries to the west of Homebush Bay via five railway stations;

Pippita Station (Opened 4 October 1940, Closed 9 November 1984)
Metropolitan Meat Platforms (Opened 11 January 1915)[1]
Abattoirs Platform (Opened 17- December 1926. Closed 9 November 1984)[2]
Brickworks Platform
Saleyards Platform

The area served by the line became Sydney's Olympic Park and the suburb of Newington.

With the development of Olympic Park a new loop line was constructed.
