Wyee railway station is located in Wyee on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia on the Newcastle & Central Coast Line. The station has two platforms. The station is served by intercity trains to Sydney and Newcastle. The Station is notable for the gardens located on the platform. Not many stations have gardens built into the platform or patches of grass in the middle of the platform. These are intended as they aren't weeds.

History[]

Wyee opened on 1st August 1892 with one platform. The second platform was added in 1896, making the station an island platform. [1]

In June 2019, major works began on an accessibility upgrade at Wyee. It involved many improvements such as three new lifts, upgrades to the existing pedestrian pathways, a new kiss-and-ride space, an additional accessible parking space, a new family accessible toilet, new stairs to replace the current ramp, and improvements to CCTV, wayfinding and lighting. The upgrade was completed in mid-2020. [2]
